Goal Setting Course Part – 6

Welcome to the sixth part of the Goal Setting Course. So let’s encapsulate everything that we have learnt so far and I am assuming that you have already doing all of these. So that we move on towards the final part of the entire activity, and the finishing that we really got to give to it.  So, at this point of time you have already identified your goals and milestones. The mindset is something which is tremendously important so you identified the reasons for inspiration. You then done in prospection by identifying the internal and external barriers and you focus on ownership by converting the external to internal and you programme your subconscious mind, you converted your internal into positive behaviours that you would like to demonstrate. These behaviours are recorded in your cell phone or your laptop and you are listening to it and visualising the new behaviours. Definitely you go off to sleep and also in the morning, at least twice a day. And by this time you identified a mentor or a coach who can be there with you. Now remember, it is not always necessary that the person should meet you in person.

The geography should not become a limitation. It can be a call, it can be a skip, all that is absolutely fine. The once you done that, maintain a journal, so the sixth step is all about sustenance. A long time people do talk about achieving something or brining something in them like motivation, passion but the biggest challenge that people talk about is normally about such thing. Like a lot of people start off with your goals, with big bag, it’s like a setting a New Year resolution. What happens after few months is something that many of you know and many of you already have it experienced in the past. So I want you all to maintain a journal and track down your PROGRESS, SETBACKS, FAILUERS, and NEW LEARNINGS.  This is a journal or a book that you also carry along with you whenever you meet your mentor or coach or speak to them. You do not writing something in that once a week, it supposed to be done daily. Daily you are tracking your progress, new learning’s, behavioural changes, and remember do not be scared of failures. Failures are bound to happen, because you are trying something new. But, do not forget to document the progress and the small achievements. A lot of times, in the quest of looking at the far sight it the long term goal, we might actually miss out.  On the very small progress and achievements that we experience on a daily basis. Because, you are looking out there you might miss out on something which is just here. Do not miss out on that. Write it down, track it down, have a discussion with a mentor and follow it through. I cannot promise or guaranty that you will definitely achieve your goals by doing this. But, if you do whatever I am asking you to do, I can promise the progress would definitely be more than what used to happen in the past.
